International Center of Excellence agrees collaboration with Asexma
The initiative aims to strengthen the themes of advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing / 3D printing, robotics and sensory, and other areas that are considered of interest to the Chilean industry.
With the presence of the executive director of the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology of Leitat Chile, Jordi Rodríguez, a formal meeting was held on November 9 for the collaboration convention with Asexma A.G.
The meeting was held in the offices of Leitat Chile, where also participated the Director of Projects of Leitat Spain, Dirk Saseta, by the technology center and the trade association, President Roberto Fantuzzi and the General Manager, Marcos Illesca, for give the initial footing to the agreement signed between both organizations.
It is intended that this agreement enhance mutual collaboration, in the subject of advanced manufacturing related to additive manufacturing / 3D printing, robotics and sensory and other people who are of interest to the Chilean industry.
On the occasion, Fantuzzi commented on the work they have done so far in their work team. “We, as a trade association, are working hard to solve our partners’ production problems. To which, our objective with this agreement is to work together with Leitat Chile in research and development projects aimed at reducing the technological techniques of manufacturing SMEs of Asexma AG, which imply an increase in product, cost reduction and profit maximization “
In this line, Jordi Rodríguez made a reference to this agreement to improve the capabilities of the group, to medium-sized and small Chilean manufacturing companies, to which, possibly, they benefited from the experience they have in the area of advanced manufacturing. Leitat Spainis a founding member of IAM 3D HUB, recognized as the only Digital Innovation Hub in 3D Printing by the European Commission, located in Catalonia.
Likewise, this agreement consolidated the institutional relationship demonstrated in the joint application to the initiative of the call “Strengthening Enabling Capacities in Advanced Manufacturing” of CORFO, to generate a Technology-Business Consortium between Leitat and national and international companies, which will be given account of this The technology of additive printing and 3D printing (AM / 3D), which impacted on the value chain of national manufacturing, transferring capabilities and technologies to the Chilean productive sector.
